Golf at Antelope Greens
We decided to top off the Labor Day Holiday with a round of golf. So we headed over to Antelope Greens. It’s an 18 hole course, but not too long so should be easy, right?……..Wrong! The weather was nice, but a little breezy. Mark Twain once said “Golf is a good walk spoiled”. That just about sums up today’s round.
To be a “real golfer” you have to know a lot of golfer terms, par, birdie, bogey, double bogey. Well, today I coined a new golf term “double par”. Since par is the number of strokes needed to complete a hole of golf, then double par is double the number of strokes needed to complete a hole of golf. And that was today’s golf……..double par. I think I’ll try basketball, those guys really appreciate it when you run the score up.
At least I can tell you Antelope Greens is a good place to play. The people are friendly and the course is well maintained. Plus the price is good compared to others in the area. It’s $25 for 18 holes and on weekdays if you go for the twilight price that starts at 3:00PM it’s only $13 to play 18 holes. What a deal, less than a dollar a hole. So go out and hit a few and I hope you play better than “double par”.
