A Wild Time at the Zoo!
If you haven’t been to the Sacramento Zoo, what are you waiting for? It’s open all year long and a real bargain. It only costs $8.50 for adults, $6.00 for kids 3 to 12 and kids 2 and under are free. On weekends they charge 50 cents more, I guess the animals get overtime, but kids 2 and under are still free.
If you really want a wild bargain, join the Sacramento Zoological Society for only $35 or $70 for the whole family and you can go for free any time you want. Plus just show your “Zoo Card” and get in for free at over 140 zoos nationwide. Just think of it, when you head out to Texas you can be the big spender and treat Grandma to a day at the Dallas Zoo. Or you could finally take that dream vacation to Hawaii and just skip the beach and head over to the zoo. Well maybe you won’t get that crazy for the zoo but you have to admit it’s the bargain of a lifetime. If you get an annual membership for $35 and go every day that’s only 10 cents a day.
There are over 500 animals at the Sacramento Zoo, so everybody ought to be able to find their “animal soul mate”. Speaking of “soul mates” you can even get married at the Zoo. Or you can have a “Wild Adventure Birthday Safari“.
The Sacramento Zoo has lots of special events for the community. A great event coming up is “Deaf Awareness Day” on Saturday, September 13th sponsored by Norcal Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing. It will be a special day for our deaf and hard of hearing community. ASL interpreters will be onsite and included with zoo admission.
The Zoo has been a part of Sacramento for over 80 years so get on over there and see what you’ve been missing for all these years. Click here for directions.
