Sacramento Horror Film Festival
Since this is the scariest month of the year there are lots of opportunities to get that feeling of chills down your spine. If you are one of those thrill seekers who likes that “on the edge of your seat” type of entertainment you’re in luck this week. The 2008 Sacramento Horror Film Festival is happening this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, October 17th through 19th at the Colonial Theatre at 3522 Stockton Boulevard.
If you’re looking for a bargain you can buy a 3 day pass for only $35 and see all the film showings, special guests, and nightly concerts. But if you’re not quite ready for that many thrills and chills you can watch just one film for as little as $5 if you go before 4:00PM. Click on this link for more ticket and location information. If you are looking for more kid friendly movie fare check back tomorrow. I’ve found a great Holloween movie for kids, “Mostly Ghostly” based on a book by R.L. Stine, and I’ll tell you all about it.
The Sacramento Horror Film Festival exists to deliver high-quality independent and popular studio-release horror films, sci-fi features and short films to the horror movie fan. They promote the genres of horror and science-fiction within the Sacramento art community by hosting semi-annual art shows, projectionist events, and horror and science-fiction film festivals.
