Zelda’s Original Gourmet Pizza

Published by sara under Restaurants and Food

I recently went to Zelda’s Original Gourmet Pizza located at 1415 21st Street, Sacramento, CA 95814.  If you have a yearning for real Chicago style pizza, Zelda’s may be one of the only places in Sacramento you can find it.  I enjoyed the pizza, but I have to say the service left a little to be desired.  The wait staff is not that friendly, but if you are going for the food instead of the atmosphere it’s the place to go for pizza.  I would have probably liked a little less meat and more veggies and sauce, but to achieve that I could have probably ordered better if I had known they would be so generous with the meat.  All in all a good experience with good value for the price because I not only had plenty for dinner but also enough for lunch the next day.  If you want to experience Chicago style pizza I definitely recommend you give Zelda’s a try.

Mistress of Reality is coming to Sacramento

Published by sara under Events

This music isn’t for everyone but if you like Ozzy Osbourn you might want to check out this upcoming show.

Friday, January 16, 2009, Mistress of Reality will bring their “Children of the Grave” Central California tour to The Blue Lamp, 1400 Alhambra, Sacramento, CA 95816.  The show starts at 9:00PM and tickets are $8 at the door (21 and over).

Mistress Of Reality is an All-Female Band that brings the look and sound of early Black Sabbath to the live stage. Based in Los Angeles they are the dark goddesses of the tribute scene.

Mistress Of Reality takes the audience on a ride through the prime years of Sabbath.  The lead singer “Izzy” pays tribute to “Ozzy Osbourne” and is supported by Nancy Iommi, Bizzy Butler and GG Ward as they recreate Sabbath’s trade mark sound.

Mistress Of Reality puts on a show that pulls out the hits such as “Paranoid” and “Sweet Leaf,” they dig deep into the 1969-1978 vault to pull up more obscure early treasures for hard core Sabbath fans as well as Dio era hits!

If you are a Black Sabbath fan what could be better than an all female band powered by the sound of Sabbath?
