The official first day of Spring is on the Vernal Equinox which, by the way, is today March 20, 2009.  It’s hard to say if spring is the beginning or end; it’s the end of winter but the time of new growth, not only plants that are shedding the cold of winter and sprouting new growth, but the time when baby animals are born and everything seems new.  Spring is in the air!

Springtime isn’t just the end of old and beginning of new, we all get a little spring in our step when we think about spring break which is in the middle of spring semester.  That is unless you have to do your spring cleaning, which probably means you’re no spring chicken.  There are lots of signs of spring like people dressed in spring colors eating spring rolls and drinking spring water while playing with their Springer Spaniel and listening to Bruce Springteen and having a spring fling at the spring festival by Spring Creek in Spring, Texas.

Don’t forget to set your clock when it’s time to spring forward or you might be late when you spring free of your spring fever, spring into action like a spring board and head for spring training.
