Sacramento Fire Department Having Station Open Houses
This is the beginning of “Open House Season” for Sacramento Fire Department. They have set up a schedule so that everyone will have a chance to tour their local fire department and meet the fire fighters. Bring the kids so they can see how the whole process works, meet the fire fighters and check out all those big red trucks.
Station Number 5 held the first one last Saturday so you might have missed it, but the open houses are scheduled once a week at different fire stations through out the city until the end of September. The next one is scheduled for this Saturday at Station Number 30, 1901 Club Center Dr, Sacramento, CA, from 2:00PM to 5:00PM. Way to go firefighters!
Go for it. A chance to take the kids to tour a fire department is fantastic. What kid would not like to crawl around on a firetruck. Get out and enjoy the weather and being with your family. I have done these tours before and the kids really love them.
