Cash for Clunkers

The Cash for Clunkers Program that was passed by Congress in June has been approved by the President and is now in full effect.  Whether you agree that this is a good way for our government to spend a billion dollars or not, it is happening.  In case you don’t know the basics of the program Yahoo Autos had a very informative article that gave answers to the most frequently asked questions about the program.  Just click on this link for a look at the article Meltdown 101: The Cash for Clunkers Program by Ken Thomas, Associated Press writer.  This should help you decide if the program will benefit you or if you would be better off keeping your clunker.

Sunday Jazz Concert at Seymour Park

The 37^th annual Pear Fair will be Sunday, July 26, 2009 from 9:00AM to 6:00PM in the River Delta town of Courtland which is located 20 miles south of Sacramento on scenic Highway 160.

Ice Cream Safari at Sacramento Zoo

 July is National Ice Cream Month and it’s not too late to celebrate.  The entire family can enjoy all-you-can-eat Baskin Robbins Ice Cream and Coca-Cola beverages at the 25th Annual Ice Cream Safari at the Sacramento Zoo.  Zoo will be closed early at 1:30 pm to get ready for the Ice Cream Safari.
