Run to Feed the Hungry is happening rain or shine on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26, 2009.  Registration starts at 7:30AM and the first race begins at 8:45AM.  The race starts just west of the entrance to the Sacramento State campus and runs through East Sacramento.  There will be a 10K timed run, 5K timed run, and a 5K fun run/walk.

 

Run to Feed the Hungry has become an annual holiday tradition for countless area families. Beginning in 1994 with only 800 runners, the event now ranks as Sacramento Valley’s largest annual run & fun run/walk. In 2008, over 28,000 participants attended and $750,000 was raised for Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.

 

For registration information click on this link to Run to Feed the Hungry.  You can register online, by mail, at REI stores or on race day.  Adults: $35 Children (15 & under): $20 Teams Members: $50.  If you aren’t able to run or can’t be there on Thanksgiving Day, you can even register as a virtual runner and support the cause of feeding the hungry in Sacramento.

    what time woudl the fun run walk begin?

    The 5K starts at 9:05AM and the fun run follows the 5K
