Tres Hermanas, 2416 K Street, Sacramento, CA  95816 (916) 443-6919; Mexican food in Midtown Sacramento.  Tres Hermanas translates to English as three sisters.  This made me wonder if things would be three times as good and the three sisters would get along and make great food together or would they have sibling rivalry and have food fights in the kitchen?  Did Mama teach them all to cook or did she have the family recipes locked safely in her head?  That sign over the door just says Tres Hermanas, not Mama’s home cooking you know.  But all my fears were laid to rest when I had my first taste of the creamy cilantro dressing on my salad. Thursday, November 19, 2009, at 7:30PM KISS is bringing their Alive 35 Tour to Arco Arena.  Tickets range in price from $19.50 to $128.50 and parking is $12. 

Since the band was formed in 1972 there have been numerous changes of personnel with the only constants being Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.  But you would hardly notice because their stage presence has remained constant; it’s all about the makeup.  I guess it’s not “just” about the makeup, it’s about the flamboyant outfits, the fire breathing, the smoking guitars, and oh yeah, the over 80 million albums the band has sold.  Check it out for yourself and see if it really is all about the makeup
