A Christmas Story at the Crest is happening Saturday, December 19, 2009, at the Crest Theater, 1013 K Street, Sacramento, CA.  This is a fundraiser for Jesuit High School.  At noon there will be cookies and visits with Santa and at 1:00PM A Christmas Story film screening.

West Sacramento Community Orchestra will present a Free Holiday Concert on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at 7:30PM, at the Centennial United Methodist Church, 5401 Freeport Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95822  (916) 452-4477.

This free holiday concert will include the following musical selections: Christmas on Broadway, Christmas Festival, O Holy Night, The Hansel and Gretel Overture, and Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride.

In an effort to keep pets in their homes, the Sacramento County Animal Care Department is soliciting donations of unopened canned and dry pet food from the public for the newly-launched Pet Pantry Program. The goal of this program is to provide pet food to families who may need some extra assistance in caring for their animals. The program is open to any family in need in the Sacramento area.
