This weekend is the last chance to enjoy winter fun at the Midtown Ice Skating Rink, 1050 J Street, Sacramento, CA.  The last day of operation for winter 2010 is Monday, January 18^th from 10:00AM to 10:00PM.

There are special events planned at the rink this weekend including a DJ spinning on the stage Saturday, a visit from the King’s Dancers and Slamson, Obsidian Butterfly Fire Dancers, the St. Peter’s Church youth group and the first batch of J Street sycamores lighting up.  On Monday at Noon, the Capital City Figure Skating Club from Roseville will entertain with a short exhibition.

The City of Sacramento will celebrate the 29^th annual Martin Luther King Jr. March and celebration on JANUARY 18th, 2010 at 8:00AM beginning at the Oak Park Community Center, 3425 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Sacramento, CA, for the south route.  The North Area March, begins at Grant High School the same time the Oak Park march begins at Oak Park (8:30 am).
