That frightful time of year is almost here, (Halloween, in case you need me to spell it out). I know haunted houses seem like they just happen but those ghouls don’t just wander in off the street. If you think you could scare the pants off Freddy Krueger you have to prove it. So if you’re feeling you could be the next Count Dracula or maybe just a little Twilight Saga in your future, you can show your stuff at the Callson Manor Casting Auditions on September 4, 2010, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. Just show up at the Roseville Fairgrounds, 800 All American City Blvd., Roseville, CA (Parking Lot C…look for the trailers and fenced off area) and show them a haunting performance to earn your spot in the Callson Manor Haunted House.

To make it official the ceremony begins at 10 am with the ribbon-cutting at 11 am and cake to celebrate at noon. Sacramento may call itself the “City of Trees” but lately I’m starting to think of Sac as the “City of Wildlife”. There were some zebras on the loose in Carmichael, bats in Midtown and a couple of days ago at Natomas Regional Park I saw a coyote just ambling across the park hardly seeming to notice there were people walking all around. I think he was much more interested in the rabbits scurrying around the edge of the canal and the geese that were in charge of the water in the reservoir. Continue Reading »

Have you ever wished you didn’t have to hassle with leaving your car at the airport or maybe you got a ride and now you have to figure out how to get home without spending your life savings? Wouldn’t it be easier if you could just catch the RT?
