A few months ago when we were looking for a house I saw a cute little dog park nestled in a neighborhood in north Sacramento. It was a busy place with dogs running and playing with each other while their owners chatted and enjoyed giving their furry friends a little off leash time. This made me wonder if there were other hidden jewels like this in Sacramento. With a little detective work I found that there are currently seven dog parks and another set to open in June 2009. All of them are fenced with a double gate system for safety. For a list of the dog parks in Sacramento as well as a description and location for each click on this link to the City of Sacramento Department of Parks and Recreation.
