Help Prevent Bike Theft

This Saturday, March 20, 2010, between 10:00AM and 12:00PM, at McKinley Park, 915 I Street, Sacramento, CA, the Sacramento Police Department is holding “Operation ID” which will provide engravers to put identifying numbers on your bicycle.  This operation is in response to a rise in garage burglaries in which bicycles are being stolen.  The purpose of the program is to enhance the chances of locating stolen property (such as bicycles), by providing police an identifying number to run when we come across suspected stolen items. Sacramento Police Ask for Help Identifying Armed Robbers

Hey Look, It’s a Surveillance Camera, I’m Going to be on TV

The Sacramento Police Department is releasing surveillance photos of two armed robbers.  Both suspects looked directly at the surveillance camera during the robbery which captured clear images of their faces.  Detectives hope someone will recognize them and come forward with the information needed to identify them.

On Saturday, January 23, 2009, at 3:37 p.m., two suspects entered a video game store located in the 3600 block of Northgate Boulevard.  They approached an employee and demanded money at gunpoint.  The employee complied.  Both suspect fled after obtaining cash.  The suspects were seen fleeing in a four-door, beige, 1990’s Buick.
